Preston Ashby
Preston Ashby is a songwriter, singer, and guitarist based in Austin, Texas. Active in both Austin and Nashville, he writes across country, Americana, roots rock, classic soul, pop, and hip-hop, collaborating with artists as a composer, lyricist, and topliner.
Ashby builds songs around the vocal with soulful melodies, polished lyrics, and deceptively simple arrangements. In December 2025, he was named the winner of the Golden Pick Songwriting Contest, presented by the Bluebird Cafe and Taylor Guitars, and has been invited to perform at the Bluebird on multiple occasions. He has also performed at the Paramount Theatre, one of Austin's landmark performing arts venues.
